The machine itself, while it does tale up quite a bit of counter space, it’s fairly easy to set up and use. I tried several recipes and it always comes out the same, so if what you really want is a frosty, like the milk shakes from a restaurant, then this is a Good machine. It was just too soft for me. I thought it would be more like dairy queen but its not. That’s ok, it was still fun.

Isn’t perfect but great for the price and mixtures are easy to make. It was an excellent purchase for sure.

I love making ice cream, but I enjoy even more making ice milk. I love that I can control the fat level and the sugar level of my iced desert! I can be as creative as I want with this wonderful little machine.

PROS: Very well designed! Overall it is a great ice cream maker and the kids love it. Easy to find ingredients from the grocery store make the options and flavors endless. CONS: The “mix it in” containers really do not work well. Even with tiny toppings, the mixer dispensers don’t release the toppings unless you constantly tap the side of the machine.

We finally got to use it. Love the ice cream. It worked faster than I thought it would and got firmer than expected.

I have made two batches so far and they both tasted great. The first one ( chocolate) took between 5-10 minutes more than recipe minimum but soft served great. The second batch I did, the vanilla, took longer also but I let it go too long and it didn’t serve as well. Had to scoop out. Both recipes were in the booklet and were very tasty. Fun to do with the grandchildren!

I bought for my grandkids to be able to make icecream together. Very easy to use a little loud. I haven’t tried all the recipes but the ones we have are really good

Just follow the directions and measure everything correctly keep ingredients cold, and always check while it’s mixing , you can stop it and check the texture with a spoon, after you’ve done it it’s fun to experiment with different flavors,Cuisinart is a great company I have been working in the industry cooking for many years and their equipment is top notch in my opinion

Really a nice appliance to have around. Make your desserts the way you like them.

It was a little grainy and the sprinkles didn’t come out well.

The ice cream mixture firms up in fairly short order, which is good; in fact, it firms up more quickly than in my regular ice-cream maker. Cleaning the paddle, however, is not fun, unless one is inclined to sacrifice a fair amount of ice cream lodged in the various nooks and crannies of the paddle. Other than that, cleaning is pretty much a breeze. The reason I have this ice-cream maker stemmed from a question I posed my wife when we were at a ballgame this summer. While we indulged in soft-serve, I asked whether soft-serve makers were manufactured for home-use. She did not know, but learned that they were, with Cuisinart one of them. When my birthday came around, my present was, you guessed it, the Cuisinart. But here’s the thing. If one expects the soft-serve from the Cuisinart to dispense as it does from one of those pricey ballpark models or the sort in use at soft-serve ice-cream stands, forget it. For one thing, the stream of ice cream dispensed with the Cuisinart is unpredictable–and for another, there’s not much room in the dispensing area to manipulate the cone or to catch the swirls as they emerge, whichever way they drop, from the maker. Of course, it may be that I need more familiarity and practice with the machine to get my soft-serve to look as well-shaped as the ones in the Cuisinart pictures. Finally, the recipe in the Instruction/Recipe booklet for the Chocolate Frozen Yogurt produces a soft-serve best avoided.

This is a nice machine however the ice cream comes out very very slow and the condiment containers are difficult to use. We just took the lids off and scooped the toppings out. I would recommend it though because the kids didn’t see these flaws.

Ice cream everyday!!! This is a great addition to our kitchen! Works quick and perfectly! Add as many of your own toppings. No more stopping and worrying about if the ice cream machine is working….thank you for making this machine! We love it!

I’d give it 5 stars except for the fact I needed to adjust the recipe to less milk, and the (condiments don’t come work very well when using them More like a toy) my tip is-freeze the bowl longer than specified. Thank you

I received it as a Christmas present & have enjoyed it very much! We’ve made chocolate, strawberry & a chocolate with so many mix ins that it was super chunky. But absolutely delicious! No more trips to the ice cream shop, we just make it at home now!

The ”drum” needs to freeze for 24 hours or more or the ice cream will not freeze. The quantity it will freeze at a time is a small amount for the amount of work it requires. And then you have to wait at least another 24 hours before it’s ready to freeze another batch

After using it two times it stopped working. The mixing part stopped and was slipping. It iwas fun while it lasted.
