Love it, So easy to make. The only thing is the sprinkles come out to much at once and get all over other then that well worth the price.

The ice cream mixture firms up in fairly short order, which is good; in fact, it firms up more quickly than in my regular ice-cream maker. Cleaning the paddle, however, is not fun, unless one is inclined to sacrifice a fair amount of ice cream lodged in the various nooks and crannies of the paddle. Other than that, cleaning is pretty much a breeze. The reason I have this ice-cream maker stemmed from a question I posed my wife when we were at a ballgame this summer. While we indulged in soft-serve, I asked whether soft-serve makers were manufactured for home-use. She did not know, but learned that they were, with Cuisinart one of them. When my birthday came around, my present was, you guessed it, the Cuisinart. But here’s the thing. If one expects the soft-serve from the Cuisinart to dispense as it does from one of those pricey ballpark models or the sort in use at soft-serve ice-cream stands, forget it. For one thing, the stream of ice cream dispensed with the Cuisinart is unpredictable–and for another, there’s not much room in the dispensing area to manipulate the cone or to catch the swirls as they emerge, whichever way they drop, from the maker. Of course, it may be that I need more familiarity and practice with the machine to get my soft-serve to look as well-shaped as the ones in the Cuisinart pictures. Finally, the recipe in the Instruction/Recipe booklet for the Chocolate Frozen Yogurt produces a soft-serve best avoided.

The mixture gets very hard very quickly. The machine then makes loud sounds because it can no longer churn/mix. At that point, the mixture is too hard to come out of the nozzle.Be prepared to scoop

Absolutely love it…was skeptical cause of the bad reviews but this product is awesome ..our freezer is set to the coldest so o have no issues with the bowl freezing I make 2 batches a day and still no issues thought I would need a second bowl but I dont, we found the recipes make the oce cream like whipped cream so we reduced the heavy cream by half and added milk to equal the amount of heavy cream called for love it love it love it!!!!!

It is very easy to use and clean. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I wish it would have been designed with a larger opening to deliver a thicker swirl…otherwise it works very well.

I was expecting some sort of a challenge in making ice cream for the first time. Nope. It was as easy as they made it look. From opening the box and puting the machine together to the following the recipe for delicious soft serve to eating it. I would actually given it a 4.5 but I could not figure out how to make a half star . Why not 5 stars? Because it takes to long for the bowl to actually freeze. I tried at 12 hours like the book said. No. I then tried 18 hours. No. It actually took over 24 hours to freeze properly. For me, that is way too long to wait for another go at making more.

PROS: Very well designed! Overall it is a great ice cream maker and the kids love it. Easy to find ingredients from the grocery store make the options and flavors endless. CONS: The “mix it in” containers really do not work well. Even with tiny toppings, the mixer dispensers don’t release the toppings unless you constantly tap the side of the machine.

Great product. Super batch of ice cream. Remember to use a binder like guar or xanthum gum when mixing your ice cream. Super smooth soft serve…
