I bought the machine as a gift for my son and husband. So far, so good, EXCEPT the lid does not stay snugly on during use without holding it in place. We ordered a replacement lid thinking we might have damaged the original somehow. The replacement lid fits the same way as the original. This is our only disappointment.

I love my little ice cream maker. It’s easy to operate and the recipes that come with it are delicious. I have made two of them and they are excellent .The chocolate is wonderful. My only complaint is that it is rather noisy and the paddle insert is kind of flimsy. The soft ice cream is easy to get out of the freezer bowl but the ice cream that hardens on the walls you have to use some elbow grease to get it out and the texture is different . But, it’s still delicious.

Easy to use. Doesn’t take up a lot of room on my counter. The drum doesn’t take up much room in the freezer. However, for frozen yogurts the recipe book has you use plain Greek yogurt. I use just plain whole milk yogurt, because Greek yogurt makes it too sour.

Pros: *Makes high quality ice cream fast! Within 20-25 mins. *Always creamy and well mixed.*Small footprint on counter *Super easy to useCons: *The top plastic cover- the design of it. Idk if it’s designed to shift around but it’s weird that it never really feels like it’s “locked in place”….doesn’t have a strong bearing on the ice cream being made tho. * Spillage: be mindful that some of the receipes they give you in the booklet make the ice cream spill over the container. Doesn’t seem to damage the machine, it’s just a bit of a mess to clean up and you usually end up eating the spillage 🙂 I don’t know why they’d have the amount of ingredients be more than the machine can handle, but all good so far and happy we can make organic minimal ingredient ice cream!

Have used it four times now, both with custard based recipes and ‘Philadelphia” style recipes (no eggs), and it has been so much fun! Its easy and quick and the ice cream is creamy and delicious. I like having the freedom to experiment with flavors and recipes, and I look forward to trying lots more going forward. Making, heating, straining and cooling the custard base is a bit of work (not difficult, but a bit messy), but worth it. If you don’t want to mess with that, or want something quicker, the no-egg, no-cook recipes are simply mix and churn. You can be sitting at the table and decide you want ice cream, and literally 30 minutes later you can be eating (soft serve) ice cream. The machine is a bit noisy, but its compact and easy to clean. You do have to watch the quantity of ice cream base you put into the machine because not all recipes are for this size of machine, and the ice cream expands as it freezes. I’ve had to scoop out some with a spoon while churning because I overfilled it and it started to overflow. If you follow the recipes in the accompanying manual you’ll be fine, but the fun is really in finding other recipes to try, so just watch your quantities. I hope it holds up for many years. Highly recommended.
