Pros: *Makes high quality ice cream fast! Within 20-25 mins. *Always creamy and well mixed.*Small footprint on counter *Super easy to useCons: *The top plastic cover- the design of it. Idk if it’s designed to shift around but it’s weird that it never really feels like it’s “locked in place”….doesn’t have a strong bearing on the ice cream being made tho. * Spillage: be mindful that some of the receipes they give you in the booklet make the ice cream spill over the container. Doesn’t seem to damage the machine, it’s just a bit of a mess to clean up and you usually end up eating the spillage 🙂 I don’t know why they’d have the amount of ingredients be more than the machine can handle, but all good so far and happy we can make organic minimal ingredient ice cream!

It’s good ice cream maker. But the container has to be stored a day ahead to make the ice cream. Should have gotten the one with compressor.

Quick and does a great job! Just wish it was quieter so when we make ice cream for company, we can still hear each other talk without having to move it to another room! Otherwise, does a great job, more quickly than our previous one (different brand).

Overall, we are happy with our ice cream maker. I chose this one because it has a gellato setting which gives a longer mixing cycle. I have modified some recipes to come up with a vanilla, low fat, low sugar coconut milk ice cream that the family thinks tastes better than what we are able to find in the stores. Being able to experiment with the ingredients was paramount. Our only complaint is the fussiness of the lid. If you accidentally touch the lid while pouring in the ice cream base it you have to immediately stop and fix it. Depending on where you are in the pouring, you may have to clean out the freezer bowl and try again. That is very aggravating! For this reason it gets a 4 star instead of a 5. It’s a Cuisinart! You guys should be able to do better!

This counter top appliance is amazing. I made raspberry sorbet. It make 2 quarts and had 3 ingredients; none of the binders and additives that you get in store bought frozen treats. Took about an hour to make in total. It’s terrific.

It is so quick and easy. I store the container in the freezer so I can have gelato whenever I want. A second bowl would be great if you like having options on the same day. I would buy an additional bowl if it was a little cheaper.
