Especially like this electric kettle because it doesn’t have a myriad of temperature settings. It boils the water quickly and then shuts off. Has all the necessary safety features like auto shut off and shut off if no water in unit. Interior is stainless steel, less expensive kettles are usually plastic interior.

The new one does a good job infact I think it heats up a little better. I liked the shape of the old one better. It looked more like a tea kettle and the new one looks more like a coffee pot.
