We love this percolator, great tasting coffee! No plastic parts like the auto drip machine. You can use a paper filter, but not needed if you follow the directions. I even love that the cord comes with a nice “clasper” to keep it tidy when storing it in the cupboard!

I was very excited about getting this percolator, but I ended up very disappointed. The coffee tastes great, however, we have to put it in the microwave to get it really hot. There are also a lot of coffee grounds that end up in our coffee.

I purchased this percolator after having gone through four different (high end) coffee pots from various manufacturers over the last decade. The heating element always appeared to be the weak point in the systems and I thought why not try something different? Environmentally correct as no filters are needed, and the simplicity made sense. The percolator brewed a great pot of coffee daily for three weeks, and then the heating element gave out (yet again). Thankfully we were able to exchange our purchase for a new unit at the store where we purchased it from. The replacement unit has worked fine for a month. Tip: There is no on/off switch, and pulling a live power cord from a wall socket is problematic (sparks are not uncommon, even after the red “ready” light comes on). Consider purchasing a switch that plugs directly between the percolator plug and the wall outlet. It obvious that this unit should never be unplugged while brewing, but it still continues to draw electricity after the brew cycle is complete. I wish the manufacturer built a switch into the plastic housing on the base, as well as made the clear top lid handle of glass rather than plastic. It’s fun to watch it brew yet obvious this clear plastic piece is going to discolor and crack in a short amount of time. Overall worth the purchase assuming the replacement unit keeps going strong!

Easy to clean and makes piping hot, delicious coffee! We plug it into a timer switch so when we wake up the coffee is ready and the aroma to wake up to is way better than an annoying alarm clock!

I am a little disappointed in this coffee pot. It appears that while perking the coffee grinds form the basket go into the coffee. This has never happen with my prior coffee percolator which was a different brand.

We love Cuisinart products. This Coffee Pot is a back up to our Cuisinart Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker which is the primary coffeepot, but the Classic 12 Cup Percolator has no glass pot, no need for paper filters and is simple and old fashioned.
