Excellent cookware set with superior interior finish, easy cooking and cleanup, a better product for less money. We use only stainless steel cookware, and we never use cookware with a nonstick coating. But we still want our cooking process and cleanup to be as easy as possible. Cuisinart got it right with the interior finish on these pans. Directly comparing this Cuisinart tri-ply cookware to similar tri-ply cookware from Calphalon, the smooth interior finish of the Cuisinart is definitely better than the satin interior finish of the Calphalon. See photos for comparison of the finish on skillets from both companies. Fried eggs cooked perfectly in the 10 inch Cuisinart skillet, and nothing stuck to the pan. There are no hot spots in the pans, as the Cuisinart tri-ply distributes heat evenly (all of the fried eggs were equally cooked). The pans that have glass lids make it easy to monitor the cooking process. This is a great set of cookware, and an excellent value.

The pans look sharp and feel heavy for their size. The thick base allows for impressive heat distribution and retention. I have used the 1.5q saucepan for rice, the 3q dish for a chicken casserole, and the 6q pot for curry and they all did very well. I didn’t have issues with anything sticking during cooking. Washing, which I did by hand, was easy (I used a little bit of Bar Keeper’s Friend). The see-through lids allow for a peak at your food during cooking if you don’t want to take off the lid (rice). I liked the feel of the handles, which did not get hot during cooking.Overall I would definitely recommend this set as a well-rounded collection that would satisfy most requirements for cooking.

I was very impressed with the weight to these pans.. of course the downside is also that they are heavy for lifting. I’ve only had them for a about two weeks, but so far so good. They heat up well and evenly. For the most part the handles stay cool to touch, the only time they heated up was when I was boiling some noodles, but I would have the same issue with my old pans that had plastic handles, so I don’t consider that to be an issue. I like that they stack well for me and wash up nice in the dishwasher too. I would recommend them if you are trying to get away from the Teflon like I was.

We liked these pots while they lasted, but the handle rivets and middle layer of the tri-ply sandwich slowly dissolves in the dishwasher. We got about two years out of them before a handle broke off. Before that, my daughter and a family friend both cut themselves on the sharp edges that form when the middle layer of the tri-ply goes away
