This is not what I expect from Cuisinart. It is entirely of plastic except a small metal blade attached to a plastic piece which revolves. I don’t expect it to last long. (The label is metal!). Made in China. It does seem to work but the snow is not like that on snowballs. It is big and takes a lot of room on my counter. I should have purchased one of the cheaper smaller ones. The red is nice.

This is a fabulous snow cone machine. One of the reasons is that the motor for crushing the ice is so strong, that the crushed ice is very soft. Also, and the mechanism for crushing the ice is very easy to do. I made a snow cone for my granddaughter and she liked it so much that she’s purchasing one.

This is a very nice looking machine and it works. The concern we have is that the “silver” colored part that pushes the ice down and the part inside is not metal, it’s plastic. So, you have to be very careful how hard you push down to move the ice through, or it feels like it will break. As a result, it takes a long time to make the crushed ice. I expected more from Cuisinart, but so far it’s working.

I bought this unit several weeks ago and I wish I had a couple years ago because it is the easiest machine I have ever seen. It shaves the ice so easy We use 1 finger to push the ram down and it shaves all the ice put in it. Clean-up is very easy,best I have ever used.The reason I gave it only 4 stars is I have a small problem emptying the ice bin. Bottom has a high spot and the scoop is too big to get the ice out.

Best snowcone machine I’ve ever had! I LOVE snowcones. I’ve had four snowcone machines, upgrading each time. My children bought me this for Christmas and it is awesome! The others I had could only make one snowcone at a time. With this one, you can shave so much ice, you can make at least four at a time. So excited to use this!

I read many reviews on many machines before buying this one and this met my needs for a decent machine at a good price point. However, now, having used it quit a bit, I have to say it is an outstanding unit especially for its price. It finely shaves regular ice cubes completely with no chunks or chips, just fine snow. There’s no mess, no snow going everywhere and it cleans easily. I highly recomend this unit for home use. I would suggest that a couple sample packs of syrup be packed with the unit so you can “play” with it immediately.
