Delivering power, precision and performance, our newest stand mixer features a 500-watt motor, die-cast metal construction, and 12-speeds that allow for nuance and excellence in performing a variety of preparation tasks. The unit’s tilt-back head allows for easy access to its 5.5 qt. mixing bowl, while the included splash guard prevents messy countertops. Also included are a chef’s whisk, dough hook, and flat mixing paddle. The mixing bowl and all accessories are dishwasher safe, and the stand mixer is available in ruby red, white linen, onyx, periwinkle blue, robin’s egg, and silver lining. Additionally, you can purchase a variety of attachments for the unit: a pasta roller and cutter, pasta extruder, meat grinder, and frozen dessert maker.

This mixer’s performance met my all of expectations except one. The flat paddle used to mix my first cake batter failed to reach the bottom of the mixing bowl. I had to continuesly stop mixing it and scrape the bottom of the bowl to ensure all the ingredients were thoroughly mixed.

This is my first paddle-style stand mixer, finally replacing my mom’s 50+ year old 2-beater spinning bowl workhorse. I would have to agree with other reviewers that the space between the paddle and bowl is somewhat annoying to deal with, as you cannot scrape the sides of the bowl without lifting the mixer, and you can’t lift the mixer one-handed to scrape the bowl, thus requiring you to either constantly set your spatula down to lift the mixer, or risk getting batter all over the mixer while you try to finagle the spatula/unlock/lift maneuver. It’s also somewhat frustrating that you can’t add ingredients while the mixer is running without them getting stuck on the top of the paddle or splashing out. It seems like the mixer head could have been designed with a little more room to access the sides of the bowl. On the other hand, with a little help from your spatula getting everything incorporated, I really like the variety of mixing speed options. So far I’ve made cookies, cake and mashed potatoes with the mixing paddle, and pretzels and seitan with the dough hook, all with great results. I’m not sure if the cost savings is ultimately worth the hassle of not being able to adjust the bowl height, etc., but this mixer definitely works.

wish it had a swing out where bowl sits. was a gift so I appreciate it but it’s very heavy for me to move as I have muscle issue in my hands and arms. would like a smaller mixing bowl to use with it and I have not checked to see if available. I received my stand mixer for Christmas. I love it. I wish the spatula scraped the side of the bowl. There are some spatulas that do that, but they don’t fit my cuisinart. They’re only for kitchenaid mixers. Not able to buy as many accessories for the cuisinart as for kitchenaid. I would recommend it however. It does a great job of mixing.
