This is poorly made. I expected better from Cuisinart. The hinge is wobbly, and the selector lever has so much slack in it, I can slide it about a half setting before I feel it connect with anything. They say to start with setting 3. That produced a soft underdone imitation of a waffle that I couldn’t even eat. Somewhere between 4 and 5 (hard to be sure with that sloppy lever!) I got a waffle that was browned, but too hard.
