I plugged it into a workstation I setup for a client running Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS and it showed up as an external battery/UPS right away. I think I may have installed some UPS utilities (available in the repo’s), but setup was easy as could be. The beeper can be shut off–I know that’s annoying for some–in the Cyber Power UPS utilities available for Linux on the manufacturer’s website. You also gain some more flexibility in configuration when using their program.
