It’s a good solid product. I took off one star because it’s heavy and I’m trying to cut back on the weight of my tool bag. Other than that, the scratch awl is great. The handle is not going to slide like a wooden handle will. Plus, you have plenty of material to work with to keep it sharp.

I have yet to use it, but feel that it should satisfy my needs. It has a tapering shaft ending in a sharp point. For marking a line or making a starter hole for screws it will be very useful.
