This is the tool I needed to save beads that were glued on when brought. After I punched holes into the beads then I sewed them on. Great tool.

These are solid metal. Too many awls have wood handles and the shaft does not extend through the handle so you can use a hammer. This one is one piece so hammering is not an issue.

My old kick plate was 5″ wide. The kick plates that are now sold are 6″ or 8″ wide. So I used the scratch awl to make a clean, even cut on the new kick plate. It did a great job.
