I’m a career firefighter who works 4/48 and I am very impressed with the quality and value of this tool. I’m afraid of giving a great review because everyone is going to want one now! My co workers are jealous and are now looking to get one. Don’t get one because then I will have to worry about who’s tool is who!

I use this tool in home demo as well as at work as a firefighter. It has proved it’s worth so far. Co pared to simular tools on fire specific websites this is a steal. It is made with a quality metal and flawless welds. It weighs only 6.8lbs but is built strong. It has no flex while prying from either end.

I have already used this tool many times, and I’ve only had it for two weeks. It is an excellent bar to add to your collection. The only down side is the paint is already chipping off of the ends, but that is to be expected!

On April 5, 2014 a devastating fire ripped thru a 200 year old farmhouse in my town. I went to help the family start to salvage what little that remained and also start the clean up process. Combining my firefighting knowledge and this remarkable tool I was able to assist the crew in removing the remaining burnt material so the contractors could start the rebuilding process. The combination of prying and pulling in this well balance tool gives the operator the ability to perform several tasks without stopping and reaching for another tool. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone that does any kind of demolition work! As helpful as the tool was to ripping away the destruction, the gift card would be a help toward rebuilding.

Probably the most used and abused tool I own. I’m a firefighter and carry it with me on my rig, my department recently purched one per truck. I use it for my side job everyday. Built tough, built to work.

This tool is advertised this as a construction tool, for me I purchased it for my job as a firefighter. This tool is great for pulling ceilings, opening walls, forcing doors. I was very impressed with the fact it is one piece/welded and not pinned, also was impressed with the weight of the tool.

I have been in the fire service for over 30 years and this tool is the real deal. It is the same quality as other tools used daily in the fire service. Another added bonus is that it is made in the USA. I would highly recommed the Demo Hawg for every fire department vehicle, you can’t beat the price.

Great economical U.S.A. made New York style hook. Combination Halligan fork and pike pole/hook. Safety yellow green color is a plus for visibility. Whether police, fire, ems or, joe blow you’ll benefit by having this tool. Use it for rescue work or demo work. It’ll hold up too whatever you throw at it. Support your fellow American brothers and sisters in manufacturing and give them the business. Buy this tool.

I bought this tool to use in firefighting. It has worked great. The only thing I did was add two rings and a strap to be able to carry it while I have all of my firefighting gear on. I have recommended this tool to several other firefighters. Thanks again for a great tool at the price.

Heard about these from someone else- its basically a short NY hook selling for a fraction of the cost Firehooks or fire store will charge you for the same tool. While i was doubtful of the robustness and quality of the tool, after reading the positive reviews i figured for $50 why not… I ordered it and since it arrived ive used it hundreds of times on a metal forcible entry simulator- and a few times on regular wood doors, with great success. While no replacement for a true set of Irons- it is a great secondary tool to have on the truck. I trashed the useless 3′ closet hook off my engine and replaced it with one of these… far more weight for pulling and overhaul, and while not quite a halligan, it has some forcible entry capability versus the near uselessness from the traditional short hook. Makes a good multipurpose officer’s tool as well. The fork itself is much sharper than the ones on our ProBar halligan type tools, which makes it even easier to get that initial gap. Also, the shoulders are flat and not rounded which give for a nice striking surface as well. Maybe after a year or two of use on a busy Engine company it will fail… but chances are so would a $250 ProBar. At least $50 for a replacement is a lot cheaper.
