I have been using this tool despite never used one before. Very safe to use and the weight and balance makes it ideal for chipping uneeded stone and concrete for long periods of time.

It worked great. I never hit my hand when I missed the end of the chisel. The only thing I noticed is when you keep striking the end of the chisel, the rubber guard works its way up and you need to hit it back down. Maybe a better, more sticky, rubber for the guard. Only a suggestion!!!

Have owned this brand before and had been very satisfied, hence this purchase. Edges have held shape and contours well over time. Easy to dress edge and hand guard is still in place and functional after years of use. Since i have not yet used this specific tool yet, but continue to receive requests for a review, here it is. They say, fruit does not fall far from the tree. Suspect this will perform reasonably close to what i have come to expect, but just in case, i will give it “good all around tool for DYI’ers & likely worth the extra expense.

I bought this because it’s made in the USA and the price is right. I won’t be doing a lot of cutting / chiseling as much as using it as a wedge to knock apart pieces that are temporarily tack-welded together. For that purpose it’s been great, and the hand guard has already earned its keep.
