I purchased this chisel to cut/break stone rocks for my flower bed. Previously had been using a small chisel which worked but took 6/7 times as long to break the stones… was a very slow process… with the large chisel could take it (used a piece of chalk to show where I wanted to break the rock) score the line with 3/4 hits, then 3/4 hits and would break it… Some of the large rocks would have to turn over and score them on the other side to get clean cuts,, but worked great,, the plastic shield was an added benefit, protected the hands and also helped to keep small shred of rock flying downward.. very very pleased… saved me tons of time and money, probably could have done a better job by buying a diamond blade and sawing the rocks (scoring) and breaking but this was safer and cheaper. Also have loaned it out to the neighbors to use.

Called the electrician’s chisel, this clever little tool has many uses. It is handy, of course, for cutting away slag or shaping concrete and other building materials, but my wife loves it for cutting small pieces of ceramic tile for crafts. I’m surprised no one had invented something like it before.

Great value and does the job. The hand guard allowed me to use my off-hand for striking. Used it to cut 2 tons of stone for a Saturday landscaping project.

Used to split some stones. Made a deep cut on both sides with my grinder and tapped along the line with this chisel. The grip is nice piece of mind you’re less likely to miss and break your hand. Worked great.
