Love the rope lights

We installed them along the perimeter fence in our backyard, they are very bright and white, which we like. Our neighborhood does not have street lights so they light up our property edge nicely. Unfortunately, one evening, a couple of months after we installed them, I noticed a two foot section was out on the 48ft strand. Upon closer inspection, I saw the two foot section had actually shorted out at the connection point; you could see it had burned. The rest of the strand worked but worried it might lead to further damage they have been unplugged until I can get a replacement. Although it states for outdoor use, they might not withstand being out in the elements all the time.

This item is actually for 2 of the 48 ft item for a total of 96 ft. The price for the 48 ft item is $57, and for another $7, you can get two of them for $65.other brands for 18 ft range from $18 to $30.These are a lot brighter than the older rope lights, which gives off a soft more of an accent light. These are pretty bright. These are bright and shines 360 degrees.The first set I order, one of the set had a short that blew the embedded fuse in the plug. I just returned the set to HD, and ordered another set.Except for that minor issues, I believe I received a great value for the price, when looking at other brands and what it would have cost me for the 96 ft I needed. Up to 5 can be connected together.

The lights are fantastic…when they work. Two six foot sections go on and off on their own. One doesn’t matter because it’s behind my grill but the other is mostly on and sometimes off. Otherwise, these lights are super bright on my deck.

The Mello 48ft. Indoor/Outdoor lights are excellent, they are very bright! We use the lights as night landscaping in front of the house connected to a timer. We have the timer set to come on at dusk and stay on for 2 hours. These lights are exactly what I was looking for.
