Take your work to the next level with the vivid P2721Q 26.96″ 16:9 4K USB Type-C IPS Monitor from Dell, which features over 8-million pixels, an adjustable stand, and a platinum silver finish. This display was built with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, an Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 350 cd/m2 brightness, an 8 ms (GtG) standard response time and a faster 5 ms (GtG) response time, and support for 1.07 billion colors and 99% of the sRGB color gamut. Setup is simple, as this display is equipped with one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.2, and one USB Type-C port, the latter of which also supports DisplayPort 1.2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and up to 65W of power. Additional peripheral connectivity may be accomplished using two integrated 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and two 480 Mb/s USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
Once configured, the Dell P2721Q can be tilted from -5 to 21°, swiveled 90° (±45°), and rotated 180° (±90°), or mounted using its 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes to maximize your viewing experience. Additionally, this display supports 178° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles that allow the display to be seen from virtually any angle.
Please note that while the USB Type-C port supports the 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard, the included USB Type-C to Type-C cable only supports 480 Mb/s USB 2.0. The included USB Type-C to Type-A cable supports 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1.

After a fair amount of research, I purchased this monitor because I wanted a 4k display that would power my MacBook Pro without spending $800 or more. It’s been a joy to use. I love that I can get higher resolutions that are still crisp and only have 1 cable to connect to my laptop in order to connect to all of my devices. The stand is nice and sturdy and offers a nice range of adjustments. Overall, I am very happy.

actually a great monitor — could always use another port or two, and wish the USB-C charging was 100W, but otherwise excellent.

The Dell Monitor works great for what we needed.

The Dell P2721Q is a great monitor. It’s large, but it fits well on my small desk. Installation is quick and easy. Photos and videos are displayed sharply. I wish that I could change the brightness more easily. But in general, I’m happy with this monitor.

This is paired with my 2021 MacBook Pro, which I bought when I replaced my 1017 MacBook Pro to discover that I could no longer use my iMac as a secondary display. I find the monitor excellent, and significantly for those that might wish to use it to charge their laptop, the 60W output over USB-C is absolutely sufficient to recharge the 16 M1 Max MacBook even when the laptop is working hard doing javascript rendering in Photoshop (I haven’t tried it yet while doing 3D rendering, which might present a problem). However, I tried, using an external colorimeter’s automated routine (the ColorMunki), to match it to my MBP screen, and found that while I could come reasonably close, I could never obtain anything like a near match. There is no saturation adjustment in the menus, which is the main element which was off. In all other respects, it’s excellent and I have found the rotation feature to be extremely useful when working on vertical format images. The cables that come with it (USB-C – USB-C and the HDMI cable) work fine and are more than long enough to enable me to have the laptop on my lap and a comfortable working distance. There is no reason to purchase additional cables. I don’t really use the built-in USB hubs, but they’re nice to have, particularly the high-speed ones accessible from the front.

Love the size/resolution/color. But the monitor has trouble resuming after it’s been put to sleep (both on macOS and windows). Lots of trouble getting it to work – even after power cycling, without giving the monitor and I a good rest. Have replaced it once, and this still happens. Have spent a fair bit of time with their support, and looking online – others have flagged this issue in reviews (visible via google reviews). There are more reliable options available.

My daily driver for work and feel it gives a good experience for long days coding and/or editing. I think color is decent for the price point and haven’t had any performance issues across multiple systems.
