Some newer computers no longer come with a disk drive because they are rarely ever used. However, some software companies still require their software on disk. It’s really nice to have this drive as a backup and not having a drive in my computer using up resources. The price wasn’t bad either.

With all my newer laptops being small and lightweight they do not come with DVD drives. Most of the time its not a big deal but there are times where I still need to use a disc but don’t want to turn on another computer just to do so. They price was very reasonable and using the drive is a simple as plugging it in. I might just be saying goodbye to my last desktop!

I am most pleased with this Dell Outside drive. The cord is a good length to place next to the laptop. There is a very nice small green light that illuminates on the front edge of the drive to display it is on. A small button gently pushed opens the drive door and then gently close it. For the money it does the job. Is it Blue Ray no, but most dvd’s can be received in non blue ray as needed. It is easy to use and starts right away. Great bang for the buck.
