   Unit works very well. Only complaint is that this was purchased to use with a desktop unit and cord is not nearly long enough to be convenient.

   A great addition to any Dell laptop….interfaces without any problems. If you have lots of music on CD’s you really need one of these drives.

   The DVD addition works well. Even with the USB3 port it takes some time to load data. I was first wondering if it had failed. This is not a problem with the unit more than impatience on my part. I am pleased with this for the price and it allows an additional method of communication with the Dell.

   This works great for loading programs that are still on disc. Don’t use it much otherwise. Would be nice if it came with a USBC cable as well as the USB 1.

    When I was unable to order a new Dell pc with a built-in DVD +/- RW drive, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Dell had a compact external drive that met my needs. This drive is easy to use and surprisingly fast. I also like that I can quickly hook it up when needed and store it when not in use. The price was also great.
