The product seems to work fine. It’s unfortunate that I have to waste a USB drive to use it. If I need to use the USB for another device I have to move the computer to get access to the USB ports on the back of the all-in-one computer I have. From a reliability standpoint, the drives pretty flimsy and could be easily susceptible to damage during handling.

The only reason I didn’t return is that it “kinda” works. Very poorly constructed, and I don’t think it will last more than a few months. It is so shoddy that I need to brace it delicately when trying to open/close. Honestly, as I am writing this I am thinking it may be returned- I had a generic brand one that was solidly built & I never felt like I would shatter it just by doing what it is designed for:reading discs! My laptop is awesome & I regret not having a drive installed into it, because this one clearly was not designed to withstand being outside of a laptop/pc.. I could shatter the entire drive with minimal effort in my tiny lady hands & if I had any children it would not have made 2minutes before destruction. Awful
