   Windows 11 immediately recognized the Dell USB Slim DVD+/-RW Drive – DW316 – SnP. The USB cable could be longer. No issues as of this date. The CyberLInk software isn’t the greatest and requires huge updates, including tons of offers for paid upgrades. However, newbies should enjoy the software that is available for free. 5 stars for the Dell USB Slim DVD+/-RW Drive – DW316 – SnP. 3.5 stars for the included CyberLink software.

   Seem to work great! Very small, light, and quiet. Appears to be very easy to use. I’d give it 5 stars if it were built into the laptop but those are getting very hard to find.

   Works great. Needed to install software from disc so plugged it in and a minute later was installing software. Haven’t had a chance yet to create any dvd’s so hoping that’s as simple

    Very easy and intutitive to use! There is no visible difference between using this and using an internal CD/DVD drive in terms of the quality of the sound and visuals. I’m happy to be able to watch my favorite movies again.

    Plastic case is barely thicker than plastic wrap. When the disk tray is extended, the bottom of the tray isn’t even completely enclosed. Works fine, but if a hummingbird lands on it, it’ll probably be useless.

    Needed a DVD writer for my Alienware desktop system so I could create OS dvd’s to install on my Dell R720 running VMWare 6. Works on my Dell tablet pc as well. (both running Windows 11). Totally worth it.

    Got this less than a year ago and no matter what kind or brand of discs I use, it will not burn to a disc. It will only burn about a minutes worth of a song then it glitches and says it failed to burn. Waste of money !!
