Pretty good drive. The Dell PC I picked did not have an internal optical drive, so this was handy. Of 4 software CDs I needed to load to my new PC, only 1 got stuck in this drive. Booting the PC got the CD to eject.

Using the Dell USB slick DVD drive to replace an broke DVD drive on our family computer. The device has been perfect, the kids have been able to enjoy their movies and games. I’ve been able to create and work on my digital scrapbooks. Using the drive is just like using the original drive. I love that it is external and you just plug it in and you are set, this helps me be able to put the drive away so that it does not meet the same fate as it’s predecessor. The drive is the same great quality we have come to love in the Dell brand. At this point in our use I have not found any cons for using this drive daily. It is slim and light, would be great for travel with a laptop or as a permanent fixture on a desk. Easy installation, hassle free setup and hours of productive use or entertainment. I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for an external DVD drive to meet their needs

Now that laptops are no longer being made with dvd rw+ drives, this is a necessary purchase. It’s been convenient in the couple of times I needed to load software that came with my printer purchase.
