I ordered a brand new Dell desktop and then found out that it didn’t have a DVD drive in the tower. I ordered a Dell DVD drive that fits into the tower, but then realized that I could simply purchase this Dell external drive and not have to pay for a repair person from Dell to come to my house to add it to the tower since I already had my desktop up and running. It works great!

This item is not compatible with my new inspiron all in one. The previous owned Dell had the dvd writer in the machine. I can not get this to work nor could two attempts by me with support get action. If dell sees this please gelp me
