   Before I purchased this drive I ask a representative from Dell if it was compatible with Cromebook, I was told it was – it was not so now I have to purchase a device that runs WINDOW’S. Thanks DELL for nothing.

   Does what it claims, so far I have used multiple software dvd and CD’s as well as music and video cd/dvd’s and they all seem to work as expected. Completely plug and play, atleast on windows 11. So no issues so far. Considering new machines do NOT come with such drives its almost a necessary accessory.

    Unit works fine but is very light and seems a bit fragile. CyberLink software sent with it caused a boot up problem, getting help from Dell techs.

    Came with no instructions. Placed setup dvd in pc dvd slot; not this unit’s. Downloaded fine, but this unit did not work. Re-downloaded, this time in this unit. Dowloaded fine; asked “should this download replace 1st dowload”; I clicked “yes”. Worked for first 2 audio dcs I recorded fm my playlist. Then, 2nd playlist…did not. Not sure why. Have not attempted again, but will. Prob my fault the 2nd time, but again, no instructions.

    I bought this for DVD’s, etc. I am so used to having this feature as part of the computer however this is not not wave of the future! Peripherals!
