This sucks. Automatic load, but to where? Software included, and the first pop-up is to upgrade the software, to something that will read data? What does this equipment do if the software provided won’t read a disc?

The drive itself is very lightweight and a bit on the flimsy side but that’s what you find with this type of drive these days. I’ve only used it to rip music CD’s and it has worked great. I have not had a chance to test the burning discs of any type. I mainly bought it in order to have a portable CD/DVD drive that will connect to a PC. My Dell XPS 15 recognized the drive immediately and it has worked flawlessly and my OS is Linux Mint 20.
