Thrilled with the DVD/CD plug in. So glad you had it and I was able to purchase it.

Outdated USB 2.0 maybe even 1.0
Darion Jenkins (verified owner) –
Plug and play. Easy. Built sturdy. Isn’t cheesy.
Maude Luettgen (verified owner) –
Just what I needed since laptops no longer have DVD’s as part of the laptop

Excellent little device that works exactly as advertised with great results; I would have given 5 Stars but at 6 inches, the Power Cord is absolutely way too short. Be prepared to purchase an additional USB Cord to extend the distance from your Laptop or PC USB Port or deal with the device irregularity. would highly recommend purchasing this DELL R/W DVD Drive.

The DVD works well on my old laptop but I can’t get it to work on my Dell Windows 11 laptop. I tried to manually start the windows media player but it told me to try another player. What player do you suggest?

You allowed me to purchase this device with a new computer which did not accept the USB cord to the computer and a type “C” cord was not sent with this new device. That was very poor service and now I have had to purchase another wire in order to use this device.
Vern Armstrong (verified owner) –
It worked immediately right out of the box, and does just what I want it to.

Works just like it is supposed to1!

slim, lightweight and portable.

Rather than get a DVD/RW factory installed on the desktop and laptop computers that I recently purchased, I purchased this external/portable DVD and have used it on both computers. Very handy to have.
Carmella Larkin (verified owner) –
Worked fine, little flimsy, but for the price good deal.
Rod Jacobi (verified owner) –
A great external drive that is easy to use, compact and efficiently does what it promises. Pleased so far.
Ofelia Hudson (verified owner) –
Nice basic laptop with solid state hard drive. Ethernet port useful.

Highly recommend to purchase when buying a new system. This optimal drive makes my new Dell compatible with reviewing older files CD/DVD

Would have preferred internal drive

Easy to use set up went very easy.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my mom. It is small and easy to use. I recommend this product.
Amara Nader (verified owner) –
Not as good as an onboatd unit, but laptops don’t have that option any more.

Nice and thin, minimalist design, and it plugs in and works without any hassle. The issues are that it’s kind of loud (you can hear the motor and disc spinning from a few feet away), and when the drawer slides out it sounds like metal scraping on metal. Not what I expected. My old LG unit that I bought this to replace is much quieter and feels more solid.
