Get it while you can if you have CD/DVD’s. They will soon be a thing of the past with Netflix and DVR’s.

I was thankful to be able to find a replacement for the one that was built into my Dell laptop that quit working not long after I bought it. It really should have been replaced long ago free of charge.

If you purchase a new laptop like, and it doesn’t have a DVD drive, this is a definite must have item. Especially if you have stuff on CD/DVD’s.

I wanted an optical drive to use with my new Dell PC. Most PCs no loner have optical drive. This DVD read/write drive gives me what I want.
Nikko Johns (verified owner) –
Very good lime the product
Berneice Larkin (verified owner) –
Surprised that my laptop did not have a slot for a CD so I purchased an external player. It is compact enough to diminish clutter but is no big deal.
Adolphus Brekke (verified owner) –
This DVD player works fine and is a good price for what it does. I liked it better when it was built into the computer. This player is one more gismo on the desk taking up space. Since I have to have one, this works good.

A longer cord would be nice. It’s awkward to have it plugged in when using the computer on my lap, because the cord doesn’t easily reach to nearby level surfaces.
Macie Reichel (verified owner) –
Can not use this you guys never sent the computer. So a 1 is definitely needed on this!!!

I needed this to install a language-learning software through a CD. It works as easy as plugging it in and placing your disc in the drive. My only problem with it is that a week before I purchased it was $5 cheaper so I assume there were cookies placed on my computer that increased the price. Still a pretty great option
