I think the external DVD drive is cheaply made. It also makes a lot of noise. If you are thinking about listening to a CD with this drive forget it If I had known that it was made so cheaply I would have looked elsewhere for a more substantial Drive

Despite the fact that DVD RW is in it’s name, it cannot write to a DVD! Nor in our experience will it even write to a CD-RW. Only a CD-R, which means we cannot overwrite anything. A one-time use. Not what we were expecting given the name of this device.

Plug N plays no problem. My only issue is when I insert a DVD it does not autorun. I have to use explorer to initiate a program on DVD.

They say that these are a thing of the past. It wouldn’t fit in a 13″ lap top but some of the software I still have will run on Windows 10 so for me it’s a must have accessory.
