New i5-8gen is noticeably faster, machine is lighter and cooler than my old Dells. I have retained my old Dell because it has a gaming video card and windows 7 that are more backwardly compatible and, I believe, less intrusive.

Once I had put together the machine I thought I wanted, I spoke with a CSR that confirmed the compatibility of all components selected for the PC, and gave several value-added suggestions that made the final purchase even better. Bravo Zulu Dell!! (For those who have never served in the US Navy, “Bravo Zulu” means “Outstanding Accomplishment”.)
