   I recently purchased an Inspiron 16 7610 laptop and needed an external drive for watching DVDs. This drive is perfect and does an excellent job. It comes with a Cyberlink software disc and after installing I was ready to go. The price was reasonable, too, and since it’s a Dell product, I feel confident it will last a long time.

   I just tried the drive this week and had intermittent issues. Several times it would not read a file on the drive, where my old computer, which I have just replaced can read the file.

    Bought for an old desktop machine that did not have a cd/dvd burner only reader that I use for for recording music with Studio One and I use this to burn music cd’s. I also started mining crypto and building my own open frame rigs and use it to load drivers and OS.

    Very light, and compact. Easy to use and carry. USB cable could be a little longer. And be careful, the connector is a standard USB, so you’ll need a USB to USB-C connector on some laptops.
