   I bought it because I have a DELL Inspiron 15 3000. I was unhappy to see that you (can’t) format a C D Disc or a C D-R RW or Blue Ray disc. I doesn’t read a disc. Correctly. The burn program tells me “no audio files to burn”, so I run media player and it plays the audio files Just fine. I on-lined ordered from DELL, but will be going to the local store tomorrow and buy a new one that has all the programming for a burner.

   I very much prefer the drive internal as opposed to external, but since my new 15inch XPS does not have one I had to buy this one. I have used it a few times and it works just fine. I just don’t like having to hook it up every time I need to pop in a CD.

   Easy to use, just plug and play. I am glad I got this with my new Dell laptop, as the laptop has no CD drive, and I have already had to use this.

    It would be better if it could write to DVDs. The description on the Dell website as I was checking out to purchase a laptop did not indicate that it could not write DVDs.
