Super easy to use. Just plug it in a USB port and you are ready to go. We just replaced all of our old Dell PCs with brand new Dell Optiplex Micro PCs and they don’t have DVD drives so I ordered one of these to load some DVD based software on some of the workstations. Couldn’t have been any easier.

Sleek, slim, light and works. Wasn’t expecting the DVD drive to be so slim. Takes up hardly any room on the tower. Yes I’m still using a desktop. Compared to what they were years ago this seems fragile but its not. Going to get some velcro and attach it to the side so it doesn’t slide and I don’t have to handle it as much. Its a little different getting use to a portable DVD RW but it’s easily do-able. Plus side is that it is portable and I can move it and it can come with me.

Since our new Dell laptop does not have an internal optical drive, we also bought this external drive. It has not been used much, but so far it functions as expected. However, we still would have rather have the internal drive so we don’t have to carry an extra package. Having it powered via the USB interface at least avoids another external power unit.
