I meant to buy a desktop with a built-in DVD/CD player, but forgot. So I ordered this slim external version and it’s fine – I have it on my desk next to my small tower and it’s easy to access and use.

I’ve only been using this device for a short time. So far, so good.
Maria Feil (verified owner) –
Works fine, but slim is noisy and slow. Requires patience. Definitely not for regular use, but good when you need files from a cd or dvd.

This external DVD drive is a great addition to my new Dell laptop, great for loading older software and playing videos

Very happy with my purchase. I can load programs instead of downloading the file online. You can also watch movies when you are able to without internet service.
Geraldine Armstrong (verified owner) –
It’s a good item so far haven’t had it for a month.
Roberto Roob (verified owner) –
Since many pcs no longer include these drives some software still require the cds to unlock for a new install. A must have device during the transition.

It’s a quick plugin and works great!

It’s an external DVD r/w drive – it works just fine. Yes, there is some noise associated with spinning a disk at a couple thousand rpm, but so what? Plug it in to your computer, set up the software that executes automatically, and you’re on your way.
