Very accurate and easy to use.

Only used it to install TurboTax but it worked. No complaints so far
Arnoldo Hayes (verified owner) –
A good product that works as advertised

I supposed the device works, but not certain. Software includes tons of unwanted, not useful, bewildering advertising to include upgrade offers. The expectation was to have a device that simply worked on demand. Most disappointing.
Myriam Friesen (verified owner) –
really needed a CD to install old software and to burn CDs for use in the car. This worked great.

This guy works great! I haven’t tried writing on discs but it definitely plays DVDs on my Dell XPS15 (2021). The laptop came with a USB-C converter, but the DVD Drive does not come with one. The software it comes with is bad, but I did have to install it to get it to work on VLC and other media players.

Works great, the program that comes with the product has a lot of features for making dvds etc. but I haven’t really used those yet. It was able to read some old dvds that I haven’t tried to watch in years perfectly, no glitches whatsoever. The device seems to get a bit noisy but it’s small and compact so as long as I keep it flat and don’t move it around alot while it’s in use it stays pretty quite.

Great addition to my equipment

Still need for older programs. Works great.
Milton Quitzon (verified owner) –
Poor quality, noisy, if would have been nice if there had been an upgraded version, but this one is a piece of junk

As dvd drives are becoming more and more scarce it is good to have a portable one to more from computer to computer.
Blaise Crona (verified owner) –
Works as it should, since external could have had a more appealing case.
Raymond Connelly (verified owner) –
A great way to have a cd/DVD player when your pc doesn’t have one
Boyd Feil (verified owner) –
Does a great job with DVDs
Dedrick Orn (verified owner) –
The USB external CD drive is exactly what I needed.
Alexander Wehner (verified owner) –
Disappointed, USB plug-in is not compatible for my Del XPS since it only has thunderbolt ports
Hollis Collier (verified owner) –
doesn’t work – takes me 20 min to get it to run, trying different settings. Should bring up player and start when cd or dvd put in player

The unit works as it should, however, the tray does not open completely to insert the disk. I have to guide the farther end of the disk between the base and the open tray to be able to seat the disk into the center rotating hub. The other thing is that the tray ejects so fast you have to be sure there is nothing infront of it, or you will either break the tray, or knock away what’s infron of it.

When I read the features of this Dell USB Slim, I knew it was the perfect instrument for my daily use. It is quiet, takes up a minimal of space, powers up quickly, and offers features at my finger tips. I am pleased with my purchase yet still have a lot to learn about operating it to maximize use of features.

Just what I needed. Easy to plug and play via USB. Light weight for travel. Moves around a lot because it is so light and I set it anywhere I have a couple of inches, but still works without a hitch.
