I did a lot of research before buying this unit and I am pleased with it so far. I have only played DVDs on it and not did use it for read/write yet but I have no reason to believe it would not work fine. The software attached works fine with no hassles at all. Worked fine the first time. The unit I not loud at all. So far very pleased.

This was offered at checkout when I bought a new computer. The only ports on the laptop are USB C. It would have been logical that this came with a USB C port. Instead an adapter is needed. It was my fault for not checking. It seems to work okay.

It’s very easy to drop or slide off a table. It could use some skid pads, but even better would be to integrate it back into the laptop as standard equipment like they used to be. I can’t understand why they stopped. If enough people want A laptop without one, you can build a separate model. Is it really that important to save $35 on the laptop itself? Also, it could use an HDMI cable.
