Great addition to my laptop. Thanks for making this product and for making it so easy to use. My only complaint would be that I would prefer a longer cord. Other than that, it is perfect.

This external cd player is great for my laptop which does not have one internally. I only wish it had a case in which to store it and its cord.

It was basically plug and play. We’ll I had to send it through a USB 2.0 – 3.0 converter to interface with my Dell Laptop, but the laptop recognized it right away. It plays may types of video.

Used to install legacy software on a new computer and worked fine for that use. have not tried to burn any music yet. Yes , I’m old and like a physical copy of music. 🙂

Needed an optical drive for my new Dell and this was perfect. It’s small, thin and sits on top of the tower. Worked out great!

Love the fact that it’s a 2 in 1. Wish I could get Google apps. Microsoft has some but not as extensive as Google. I find the the Inspiron 5000 a bit slow and the battery can get mighty hot.
Mazie Hand (verified owner) –
Works well. but it is noisier than expected when disc is spinning.
Valentine Gulgowski (verified owner) –
It’s a bit bulky but my biggest concern is that the laptop has only USB 3 ports, but the connector for the drive is standard USB A type. Poor planning. There ought to be an adapter that Dell provides with the drive.
Margret White (verified owner) –
It works right out of the box.
Seamus Rau (verified owner) –
Great product, only used handful of times so far but it is a good option since laptop didn’t come with hard drive, I use it to save photos to disc
Wayne Mosciski (verified owner) –
works fine with no difficulties; just plug it into a USB and no worries
Candida Beahan (verified owner) –
I bought this several months ago and it works great. Installing is now a snap

The drive is fine; the software is very aggravating: it doesn’t allow me to bookmark, and it keeps pushing upgrades. I’ve uninstalled it and installed freeware VLC media player instead.
