I bought this monitor on a whim, as I needed something pretty quickly. I had recently purchased an M1 Mac Mini as a second machine, thinking I could use my older iMac as a monitor. On paper it seemed doable, but in the reality the situation turned out differently. So, I knew I needed a new monitor. I looked around for an evening, and made some picks, based on needs / price point. I decided to go with this Dell. Now, I run a few monitors in the office at work (2019 iMac, 2020 MBP), one of which is an LG 27ul600 (used a s secondary monitor). While I don’t love the LG, it is a solid second monitor (for general use, non-photo / video editing). I bought the Dell, thinking it would be similar to the work LG. To my surprise, I’m enjoying the Dell more. Besides it having a cleaner design, and the USB-C input, I like the screen performance more as well. Both monitors have been calibrated with a Spyder5, but I feel like the Dell is brighter and shaper after calibration (yes, I understand that wouldn’t be the case if calibrated correctly, and environment / ambient lighting come into play). But overall, I’m enjoying the experience with this one. If you aren’t a design professional, who demands a top tier production monitor, this is a great option. I’m using this for general purposes, as well as editing home photos and videos, and running Logic on it. All work great.

I’m a big fan of this monitor (I have purchased and used it on two different continents), but this particular unit I received from B&H has a small blemish in the top left corner of the monitor. Given the already delayed delivery date and my need for daily use, I don’t want to go through an exchange process, so I guess I’ll just have to live with it.
