I would like to take the time to review this De’Longhi Livenza slow cooker. My wife is really big on putting a meal in the slow cooker before she goes to work and it is ready when she gets home. Only bad thing about this is that I work from home and I smell the wonderful smell all day. Once I received this cooker she was super excited and ready to use it. We have already had pulled pork and chicken and dumplings in this cooker. I read other reviews about this cooker and it seemed that those reviews were concerned that it didn’t cook as hot and they needed to turn up the heat or cook longer. So far the two meals we have had has not had that issue. So I am very pleased with that and maybe those were isolated issues or user errors. Although, this cooker is very easy to use and very easy to program for cook time and temp. Really hard to mess that up. I do really also like that this cooker is lighter that several others we have had and the cooking pot easily removes so you could use it in many other ways or store the leftovers in the refrigerator in the cooker and then heat back up really easily. It cleans up very easily and stores away nice and neatly. I think this is a quality built cooker and I am looking to get many meals and many years of use out of this. Give it a try for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

I am thrilled with the De’Longhi Livenza Programmable Slow Cooker. These days most slow cookers have a removable insert. Those inserts are usually made of ceramic. Nice but ceramic is quite heavy and food often sticks so it needs more effort to clean. The De’Longhi Livenza Programmable Slow Cooker’s insert is a cookpot made of aluminum with non-stick coating. The pot is electric and gas stovetop safe. Sear, braise and sauté in the removable cookpot, then return it to the cooker to complete your meal. Pot can also be used as a serving dish at the dinner table. It is oven safe up to 450°F. Since all the cooking can be done in one pot and the cookpot’s surface is non-stick, clean up is easy and quick. Plus the cookpot and lid are dishwasher safe. I personally like the shape of this slow cooker. Most are round. This one is rectangular. I find roasts fit better in it. They don’t have to be cut to make fit. The programability is my favorite feature. Being able to set it and forget it makes work days so much better when we can come home to a ready and waiting for us home cooked meal.

I cooked a roast in this I was able to brown the roast in the put in the stove top, it worked great then added my carrots and potatoes and cooked it all day. The food turned out so good and that was juicy and tender.

This slow cooker is truly wonderful. This is a must have fr anyone that likes to be in the kitchen. I threw my old crock pot out and will not buy another. This is fully programmable for up to 24 hours, great for those that work long hours and cannot cook up a meal fast. The best feature about this slow cooker is that the pot itself is stove top safe which most cookers are not, or crock pots are mostly ceramic. So you can basically braise or brown your meats in the same pot and then add back to the cooker, this is very convenient and saves on dishes as well. Overall a great addition to your kitchen

I LOVE this crockpot. It will be replacing two crockpots as it has so many features that I don’t even think I need a small crockpot. I love that the cooking pot can be placed in the oven or on the stove. I do like to sear my meat before roasting it – and this makes that easy! Also the cleanup of the unit is so easy. The device has a programmable timer with a delay feature and it will also go to keep warm after your timer has gone off to keep your entree warm if it’s been fully cooked. I must also go back and say that it’s great that the cookpot is not the normal heavy ceramic that takes muscles to move – this is way more light weight which is additional benefit. This benefit also comes with the fact that it has a non stick surface – this is a big one as we all know how hard those old crockpots are to clean up. I would highly recommend this product to everyone!

I love the DeLonghi Livenza Programmable Slow Cooker with Stovetop-Safe Pot. With the ability to saute in the pot directly on the stovetop it eliminates the need to dirty another pot.
