I liked it so much I bought another. Size is fine for family of 4-5 with big appetites, but needed another for large family gatherings. Nice to be able to put food in basket, shut lid, and then be able to lower basket into oil. This keeps splatters from oil off the counters and out of the air. Directions say not to plug in without oil in unit and they mean it. I was setting up fryer for use and not thinking I plugged it in for maybe 30 seconds and then unplugged it. When I poured oil in and plugged it up it would not work. This is the only trouble I have had, and as I said direction warn against this.
