Love this product, this will be my fourth purchase of a DeLonghi coffee pot. I purchased 1 with glass pot first, then purchased 2, ! for myself and 1 for a friend, Then I purchased 1 for a gift, and now it’s time for a new one as some valve stuck and is dripping water. Other than that it makes great coffee that stays hot for several hours. When poring from pot you need to turn the lid back a quarter of a turn and then hold it with your thumb while pouring and it works just fine.

Durable. You can’t break it. Got a used one of these several years ago that still lasted me another 4 years. Highly recommend

I looked high and low for a front access coffee maker, I hate to drag it out from beneath the cabinets to fill the weather vessel. This machine fits the bill and for a good price. The brewing process takes longer than our Krupps model, but the coffee actually tastes better, so it’s worth the wait (most mornings!)

Found out on day 3 carafe leaks. As this was gift and thought to be sound, box was tossed. HD won’t exchange just carafe. Now st with $80 clunker.

First of all, the coffeemaker does make good, hot coffee. The ability to fill the reservoir from the front is a real plus for me. On the negative side, you have to unscrew the top of the carafe to pour the coffee and the spout is not very well designed so, as other reviews have indicated, the coffee does tend to splash on the counter unless you are very careful. Also, don’t expect a lot from the plate on the top that is supposed to warm the coffee cups. There is some heat, but not enough to say that the cups are warm. So, the bottom line is that I would recommend this coffeemaker if you are looking for good, hot coffee and are willing to put up with some minor inconveniences.

I’ve had the coffee maker for several weeks now and, overall, I am happy with it. First the positive: It makes good coffee, the front-loading device is handy, and it is an attractive machine. As for the negative (and the 3-star rating): The carafe is a design disaster. If one follows the instructions as to how to pour from the carafe, the lid falls off and coffee goes everywhere. In fact, it doesn’t really matter how you adjust the lid, getting coffee from the machine is a challenge.

For whatever reason we (my wife and I) could always find a way to break the glass container of our coffee maker. This is the tenth one we have gotten since we been married. I am very happy with this product. It works great and we enjoy it. But the best feature for me is I don’t have to worry about a broken craft. That alone gets a five star rating from me.

Coffee maker is in an enclosed cabinet and side and top are very warm to hot during brewing. We are now moving the coffee maker out of the cabinet during brewing. It is one of the few coffee makers that are front filling for both coffee and water.

This was a replacement for an older version of the same coffee maker. The major difference is the new one come with a stainless steel insulated carafe with a sealable screw on top. Instead of the glass carafe with the older version. The coffee can be brewed with the top secure, but you have to unscrew it 3/4s of a turn and line up an arrow to the spout to pour the coffee. It does pour kind of slowly unless you re remove the top all together. With the carafe being basicly a thermos, the maker no longer has a hotplate to keep the coffee hot and depends on the insulation to maintain the coffee hot. As long as you screw down the top after getting a cup, it works very well. Having to open and close the lid is a bit inconvenient but the coffee, not being on a hotplate doesn’t get old and bitter and stays fresh over a longer period of time. Overall I’m very satisfied

Convenient setup to add water and coffee without having to move the coffee maker. Brew time average. Water level gauge impossible to read, and you have to take the lid off the carafe or you are forever trying to pour coffee into your cup.

I used one of these at a Bed and Breakfast I stayed in last winter, and I just loved the idea of pouring the water in the front, and accessing the coffee grounds without ever having to move the coffee pot out from under the cabinets. It’s great. However, the one that I got, has a little problem with it. The door to close the water area doesn’t want to shut completely tight. It’s kind of a pain and there have been a couple of times that the coffee spilled everywhere while brewing because everything wasn’t shut completely tight. And, when you pull the pot out, many times, it pulls open the water door area. I’ve gotten used to it, but I think it’s a defect in this one. Still love the convenience of this pot.
