I am a heavy coffee drinker and I love a good espresso. I was immediately impressed by how sleek the DeLonghi Magnifica XS was and the smaller size of it. It is easy to remove the different compartments and keep the machine running smoothly. I love the option of either grinding fresh coffee beans or substituting them with a powder in a separate compartment. The height adjustable dispenser is so convenient for coffee cups of any size. The dispensing control buttons are easy to understand and I love how you can control how strong you want your coffee to be by turning a dial. You can also customize how many shots of espresso and how much coffee you want which is awesome. The machine also warns you if there is any maintenance required such as cleaning out the drip tray or adding more water. It is such an intuitive and efficient coffee machine! It is the perfect choice for a espresso and cappuccino drinker who is tight on space but does not want to sacrifice functionality.

I’ve been testing out this espresso maker for a couple weeks now. Let me tell you this machine is a top of the line machine made to last! It fits perfectly on my countertop not taking up too much space. It’s perfect. I love that it grinds the beans up fresh. You will not get a better cup of coffee or espresso anywhere else! It is a little loud grinding the beans but is extremely worth it to have that fresh cup. I am now obsessed, everyone that comes over to visit I have to make them a cup. It’s so easy to use and comes with a great instruction manual. I would recommend this machine to anyone who loves the freshes cup of coffee or espresso!

I was quite overwhelmed with this machine at first because it offers so much and figuring out the steps for each can be tricky. But once it is done a few times, it is really simple and is a pretty amazing machine! Like a traditional coffee maker, you first fill the water reservoir, turn on, fill with coffee place container under milk frother, turn knob to prime… and are already ready to make a delicious cafe style drink! Options include coffee, cappuccino, espresso, hot water. My favorite feature is that whole beans of pure ground beans can be used- an amazing feature I have never seen before! The control panel can be overwhelming at first, but upon second look, very easy to read. This is where you punch in options such as desired strength of coffee, length size and 1-2 cups. This machine even tests your water hardness and comes with a built in water filter, ensuring you make the best tasting coffee drink possible. A packet of descaler is also including to clean the tank and provide a safe, clean and effective machine for many years to come. I am beyond impressed with what all this machine can do, all the options available and the durability, design and look of this! (It is gorgeous on my countertop!) The possibilities are almost endless with the drinks that can be made- espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, coffee mocha, Italian macchiato, espresso lingo, americano, caramel macchiato and so much more!

I highly recommend this espresso machine to anyone that enjoys lattes, cappuccinos, or espressos. The machine only took a few minutes to initially set up, and now it is very easy and quick to use in the morning as I am getting ready for work. I really like that you can customize the strength of the coffee and the cup sizes – it even has the ability to make 2 cups at once. The milk frother is also a nice add on and really easy to use. I have used ones in the past that tended to be quite messy, but this one is quick and clean. This espresso machine is very aesthetically pleasing and great for anyone that enjoys high quality coffee.

The DeLonghi Magnifica XS is everything I could have ever wanted and more. The end results are just as good as coffee shop espressos. I was nervous about the noise level of this at first. But, to my surprise it is actually moderately quiet for the amount of work it does grinding the beans and steaming the milk. The hopper holds are a fair amount of beans. The water tank has replaceable water filters inside. You can even get just straight hot water from the steam wand. The ONLY downside I can say I have personally with this is the amount of upkeep there is to keep everything clean and running smoothly between wiping down the wand, The drip trays, replacing filters, and cleaning it regularly with descaler.

This is my first time owning this type of machine and I was intimidated because I am not a barista but I drink coffee a lot. I read the user manual and watched online video tutorials before I attempted to make my own cappuccino. It was awesome because everything is so easy to operate with just a few presses of buttons. It is really freshly made at home and is always a great experience. The milk produced the perfect froth and the brewed coffee tastes crisp and fresh and has the perfect coffee aroma. The beans were grounded as it was brewed and it really tasted like professionally made cappuccino and I felt proud of myself. This machine is also very easy to clean and maintain. My recommendation for future customers to avoid using coffee beans that are oily. Overall, this machine added aesthetic value to my kitchen, and made entertaining visitors and family and friends more fun.

Everything about this machine is wonderful, the initial set up was a little bit hard, but manageable. I love how it grinds up the fresh beans and makes the best tasteing cup of coffee. The water heats up very fast and cleaning up the grinds is easy because they are compressed into little disks that i use in compost. The upkeep is really easy as its mostly self cleaning. The size is perfect it sits easily on my counter top and the auto shut off after 3 hours is very convienient. It makes coffee shop quality coffee and cappuccinos. I’d HIGHLY recommend it because it’s the best coffee machine I’ve ever owned

This machine is fast, easy to dial in, and makes a great espresso and Americano. At first I dialed in the strongest tasting rocket fuel I could with a fine grind and the hottest water setting. After family member complaints that coffee was too bitter (they still drank a lot of the the brew ha) I dialed it back and now even better. I would recommend this machine and I like everything about it except; dark oily beans get stuck. Dark roasted oily beans do not feed correctly and have to be pushed into the hopper. Regular store bought coffee beans which tend to be dry are fine. If Delonghi could resolve this known issue it would be the perfect machine≥÷:”.

I wasn’t a cappuccino or espresso drinker till recently. I always drank coffee till recently. A friend of mine persuaded me try some espresso and to my astonishment I really like it. So when I was chosen to review a cappuccino and espresso maker I was so excited. It is so easy to use with step by step instructions. So easy a child could probably do it. So not reccomend though lol.I’m definitely a cappuccino fan now.

After about a month of use, here are my thoughts. The machine has a relatively smaller sized footprint than similar devices. It has the approximate footprint of a four slice toaster. The device is easy to use and to maintain. I highly recommend that you read the instructions before using the machine. The machine has very detailed and helpful instructions about how to perform most tasks (e.g., emptying coffee grounds, changing the water filter, descaling, etc.). The integrated burr grinder is awesome. I like being able to grind my own beans and change the flavor profile of my coffee accordingly. Like most coffee machines, this device is no different in that it makes noise. If you live in a small apartment with someone else, it will likely wake them up in the morning. This isn’t really a complaint; just an observation.

I was so excited to start using this. I have not been drinking coffee as much because the coffee from my normal machine just hasn’t been doing it for me. I fully expected this to be complicated and was thinking I’d only use it every now and then. To my surprise, it’s super easy to use and I use it everyday! The machine is just the right size, not too bulky, which is good because I have limited counter space. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve. I’m not coffee expert so I had to learn. The instructions it comes with are very thorough and easy to understand. Once you get it; it’s as easy as the press of a button! You can really customize every feature; coffee temperature, intensity, coffee type..etc. I’m really enjoying cappuccinos and lattes. So exciting that I get to have coffee house drinks every day within minutes! You can use whole beans or espresso powder. I will say I have had better experience with the beans. They grind down fast and produce fresher coffee.The amount of beans per cup used is very little so I don’t have to go through several bags a month. The espresso powder works/taste fine but I have had a little trouble getting the machine to accept the powder after I put it in. It will often get stuck/blocked in the little chute and I have to push it through manually. Not a huge deal but the beans are better to use. I haven’t had any issues with those getting clogged or backed up. The coffee brews very fast too! I was impressed it produced coffee straight from bean to cup so quickly. It’s very easy to clean out the coffee grounds as well, they just plop into the bottom. The milk frother is really fun and easy to use also. I’m getting better at it. I’ve found that adding a little liquid creamer to the milk makes extra smooth, dense froth and adds a bit of flavor as well. I find I don’t need as much sugar that way. Overall, a great machine. I’m enjoying it so far and hope it lasts a long time!
