For my first planer, it more than exceeded my expectations. Great machine.

I ordered it and it was at the house in 2 days. Tried it out the first time on soft pine and light cut. Blade chipped on first pass. Snipes bad if fed straight thru but can be lessened by slightly feeding in at angle, over all its a good machine for the price range but next time I would go with a 3 blade machine, make sure you order spare blades

This works great right out of the box, very smooth, and quieter than I expected. Only one MAJOR issue is the dust port that comes with it has a 2″ opening, so it basically was designed to fit NOTHING that exists in the market in regards to dust collection. I ended up jerry-rigging my own adapter to my 4″ hose, but only after contacting Delta who responded along the lines of “Yeah, sorry about that” and had no suggestions as they haven’t bothered to address this at all.

It works really well for my small shop glad I purchased it.

The height adjustment handle was broken upon delivery, and the exhaust hood screws were nowhere to be found. Snipe is on the excessive side, but I built infeed and outfeed tables to compensate. It does what I need, but not much more; OK for the price.

The planer works very well and meets the needs of my hobby shop. I am having a small issue with sniping, but still making adjustments.

No snipe when used properly.

Works well hard to tell how much your shaving per pass. Great entry level planer.

Love this planer, has tackled every job I have given it so far.

Not bad for the money.

Excellent Planer for the money. Came ready to plug in. One negative is I can’t find a depth stop on it so I just watch the ruler very closely when planing multiple boards to the same depth. Would recommend this planer

I used the planer and it works great! The last one I had for 26yrs and did a good job for me. But, it finally wore out and found this one and I love it.

Works well but when I opened the box and got the planer out, some of the indication stickers were coming off. The thickness scale sticker and the directional sticker to turn the top leveling knob were almost halfway peeled off. Runs smooth but its showing signs of premature wear on the knives.

Works well. No problem with 1”x12” common boards. Clean wood chips/dust off the drive rollers often to avoid any slipping. Planned down a 2” x 10” x 14” piece of red cedar plank to 1 1/4” thick to make a tray for the wife, no problems. Take your time, I found that a quarter turn works best.

Pleasantly surprised — a well-crafted, solid tool. Love what it does to old aged redwood I get from a local recycling site.

The vacuum system works good. So far, so good.

I purchased my Delta Thickness Planer in 1991. I hope that this new one will last as long as my original one. I just finished thickness planning roughly 1000 BF of rough lumber and I was very happy with the performance of this tool. The single issue I had, is all of my dust collection connections are 4 inch, and the outlet on this device is 2 inch, so I had to customize a hose connector to fit the 2 inch outlet on the device to my 4 inch dust collection system. The real challenge will be when it is time to replace the cutting blades, that was always a challenge with my old machine. Otherwise I am very pleased with this tool.
