Right out of the box the saw was spot on for bevels and has a very smooth sliding cut. The only thing I discovered was it will not cut a 2×6 at a 45 degree angle on the right side because it hits the motor housing preventing it from cutting the full depth. Solution, flip the board to the other side and it works fine.

Really nice saw. The articulating arms cut down on the depth of the saw. I’m short on space so that was a plus. Every thing works like it should and cuts smooth. I did put a red blade on it with 60 teeth. I now have two Delta saws, I bought a 10in. table saw also this year and both work really well.

Very nice saw, powerful and accurate. I like the new type of “slide” mechanism that has a very smooth action and the tendon can be adjusted to your personal preference. The shadow light is very nice as well. This is an upgrade for me from a cheaper disk level slider and I’m glad i got it. The 5 year warranty helped push over the edge asking with the space saving slider mechanism. I have a Delta table saw I really like do that helped as well.

This is a great saw with some excellent features and a very compact footprint. The only real negative I’ve found is the dust collection. Only about half of the dust makes it to the dust port and if you use the included bag, it will spill dust when you pull the saw forward and down.

I am a DIYer having used a vintage Craftsman Miter. I wanted a compound miter, so I did considerable research and watched many YouTube comparison videos. I decided on the combination of lower weight, precision, footprint and quality. Using it initially to built my mobile workbench. I am very happy with my purchase. BTW I did replace the blade to 80+ it was very easy to order via Home Depot’s website.

Cuts well, easy to use. But, changing the blade was difficult (blade bolt cover would not move) and accessing the screws to adjust the bevel detent plate is impossible, so the blade is out of alignment until I can figure it out. No response from Delta customer service.

I love this saw! I bought it to replace a sliding tube saw that had to be moved away from the wall in order to use. This saw can be pushed against the wall of my tiny shop and used. Also, the robotic arms provide effortless, smooth operation and the shadow line – light feature works 100 %. The only negative was the dust collection, but I fixed that by adding a small shop vac hose that energizes when the saw starts up.
