I needed to either buy or make a dado throat plate to use with my new stackable dado blades. Tried making one out of wood, but couldn’t get it to rest perfectly flat on the table saw. Decided a thick metal plate would be the better choice and it was. For less than $40 it was a good buy.

This is a dado throat plate for my new saw. It works but I am disappointed in Delta. This saw is nothing like my year 2000 platinum contractors table saw. However the dado throat plate works fine

A throat plate is a throat plate. It was on sale and cheaper than Blue. It should have been shipped in a box rather than a flexible envelope. It ended up getting slightly twisted during shipping which took some effort to fix. I only discovered this when doing my first cuts.
