For what I need, this is a versatile table saw. I like how the guard and accessories can easily be removed with quick release tabs or buttons. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, the sliding rail is annoying because both the front and back have to be latched and it’s not straight, so you need to make sure and measure your fence is straight before cutting. Also the miter gauge is not 100% accurate, i’ve wandered off my line easily because the gauge’s slide isn’t tight. Finally, for the average DIY’r this is great, you get what you pay for and just keep in mind that this is not a DELTA professional saw …

Works fine and came in good condition also did not have an problem with the initial set up and came very straight from the start. When you are using it the rip-Fence has to be set and measure every time, my recommendation is measure in the front and back.I am very please with my purchase.

This table saw is well built and very sturdy, the only plastic components are the blade gaurd and push stick. It’s heavy duty/contractor grade. I’ve had it for 3 months, so as far as longevity, I cannot comment as of yet, but I was extremely pleased to find out it comes with a 5 year warranty! I do find it odd that no where on the HD web site there be a mention of this, which there very well should be as I believe many more people would consider purchasing it. What convinced me to go with this saw is the ability to use a dado stack, which not many table top table saws accommodate. You can use 8″ blade up to 13/16″ wide. The fence was perfectly square out of the box, having checked it with T squares. It slides smoothly with no resistance. The mitre gauge is not stellar, but acceptable and can easily be upgraded as the slots are standard 3/4″. The saw does not kick violently when turned on, but comes on rather smoothly. The table has extensions to the right and top to accommodate larger pieces. The dust port is awesome to have to keep clean up to a minimum. The only thing I actually felt the need to adjust was the bevel gauge, absolute zero was slightly off. I would highly recommend this table saw to any contractor, diy’er, or avid weekend hobbyist! (I myself am an avid weekend hobbyist, not professional, but very much into my craft and serious about wood working)

The saw is well-built for the price. It seems to have adequate power. It makes a terrible bang when you turn it on, but that does not seem to be anything other than annoyance. The fence and miter gauge are not very high quality. The miter gauge is comparable to a Harbor Freight Table Saw gauge. The fence is junk. There are separate locks on each end. There is no automatic squaring of the fence. You have to use a square to set it up every time you move it. To move the fence you must release both locks. Moving the fence 1/16th is very complicated. As the table slides to the right, the fence moves with it, along with the measurement device, so if you want to rip a large piece, you have to get out your tape measure, as the fence measure is no longer zeroed. Assembly was not difficult, except the photos are terrible. I have never figured out how to install the claws with the blade guard. They seem to attach to the same part of the skivving knife, therefore interfere with one another. The ability to use a dado stack, and the skivving knife were the main selling points. I just wish it had a more usable fence. Delta might want to consult Ryobi, their fences are far superior.

This is a nicely built saw. The frame is tubular steel. All shafts for adjusting are steel and gears appear to be bronze. Set-up was interesting as the blade was not parallel to the miter grooves and adjustment was not discussed in the owners guide. It was made with 2 bolts. There were 2 items I was dissapointed with. First, there was no storage for extra blades (definitely minor), and 2nd (and most importantly) the rip fence is real junk. Fence issues were several and ongoing. Front and rear of this design have separate locks. This becomes a major issue when it is quite difficult to position this parallel to the blade. It flexes dramatically and requires careful measurements before and after locking. Save time? Not at all with this.The thing is I like everything about this saw except the items discussed above. An upgrade to the fence is going to cost more than the saw. I think and expect Delta to be and do better. I am disappointed that there is no remedy.
