Stable operation. Easy blade changes, reasonably quiet. Table is sufficiently large that I don’t think I’ll ever hit the back. I was replacing a lower cost, much older saw. This is way more impressive, would definitely recommend itWould be nice if it had an integrated LED light. Though I got good at it, getting the blade in the lower blade holder requires some practice – some re-machining of the lower blade holder to guide the blade would be nice. Neither of these are deal breakers for me.The hold-down is pretty pointless. Perhaps in some world if you are working with big pieces of wood and the pattern is pretty coarse it could be useful. Otherwise it will get in the way or be useless. I never installed it nor did I miss it, was easy enough to hold the wood down with my fingers.

Way better then the one it replaced. Installation of blade is quick and easy. Vibration while cutting is minimal. Directions for attaching the table could be better. Took a little of head scratching to figure it out but patience pays off. I don’t think you can go wrong with a price like it has.

While the assembly instructions that come with the saw are a little sketchy, watching the youtube instructions (of which there are several) was worthwhile to make certain the saw was correctly set up. The saw itself is a marvelous and well-made tool. Changing saw blades and making adjustments to the saw are simple and efficient. And, having the large, twenty-inch work surface is excellent. I am completely pleased with this purchase.

The first Delta Scroll Saw I purchased had a major quality flaw from the factory. The upper and lower arms were out of alignment by 1/4” causing the blade swipe side to side at the table surface. HD was great about taking it back as a return. I then tried my luck again and purchased a replacement Delta. The second one was perfectly aligned, but maybe has slightly more vibration than the first one. There are some other scroll saws out there of higher quality (Excalibur, Seyco, & Pegas), but at 3x-4x the price I could not justify the expense right now as a new scroller. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The guts of this Delta are identical to the Dewalt and manufactured in the same plant, but selling at a fraction of the price so the Delta is a great deal. Most of the upgrades available for the Dewalt also work on this saw (hoping to upgrade to the Pegas Chucks in the future).

I’m basing this review on what I have read about it since all HD sent me was a shelf. And it wasn’t in good shape either. I’ve heard the Delta is quiet and vibration free but I sure wasn’t. I shook more and more with anger as my inquiries fell on seemingly deaf ears. All they wanted to know was if I was refusing the product. I had decided I rather liked the Excaliber a bit more and wanted to just add the couple of hundred to what I’d already paid but was told I couldn’t do that.

Very good quality saw, assembly instructions left a couple of things to imagination. Form emailed to technical services for clarification was never answered. Satisfied with saw

It was Dewalt or the Delta scroll saw and Delta won out their both excellent scroll saw and they both the same design but as for price Delta beats Dewalt. I run smooth and excellent quality. You can’t go wrong with Delta.I highly recommend it.

Great scroll saw. Easy to install blades and love that arm locks up and out of the way when repositioning blades for inside cuts. Very happy so far.
