Description

The Delta 14 in. Mobile Base reduces the burden of moving heavy machinery. It features durable steel construction, has a foot brake for safety and is protected by a 2-year limited warranty. When lowered into position, the base has adjustable foot pads to ensure even contact with the floor.

Built with heavy-gauge steel and features a foot-operated control lever that raises and lowers the base for easy movement and positioning
For use with light-duty wood shapers, utility wood shapers, 6 in. belt/12 in. disc-finishing machines, 6 in. belt-finishing machines, 12 in. disc-finishing machines and 14 in. band saws
Equipped with 1 single-swivel caster and 2 sturdy wheels
2 adjustable foot pads positioned opposite the fixed wheels assure stable 4-corner contact when the base is lowered into the stationary position

This item is very sturdy and of high quality. I used it for my older Delta model 52-965 band saw with enclosed base. The inside dimensions of the 14″ Mobile Base are 19-5/8″ x 17-1/4″ and fit my band saw perfectly.

The product itself is well made and should function for the job it is built for. Unfortunately it does NOT fit the press I purchased. The HD online site insists this product will work with my press butt it does not and returning it is not an option for me so I was extremely disappointed that it does NOT work in conjunction with the press I purchased it for.

This is a great base for a good price. I could have made something similar, but this was just a better deal for the price and labor. I will customize a rack to be built on top for my 13″ planer. the quality and build seem pretty solid. I will need to screw in/on one of the wheels a little bit more, but otherwise, the quality control seemed pretty good. There is one small adjustment I would have made to the chassis. The drop wheel bolt holes are one direction only, meaning the drop wheel MUST be mounted on the outside. Since the holes are squared, to hold the bolt, I cannot mount the drop wheel from the inside of the chassis, which would be a nice option for a customization option that would allow the wheel to NOT be a trip hazard if I am stumbling around with my hands full.
