French press coffee is somewhat new to me. But, I can say that after my first cup, I am sold ! It truly is a beautiful piece that you can just keep on the counter and not have to hide in a cabinet. The engraved sides make it look elegant and it’s a bit of a neutral color so it should be easy to match different decors. I noticed that the top seemed a bit loose and would rattle when moved. However, my wife pointed out that this is necessary to keep pressure from building up (and accidentally spewing hot beverage when pressing). I noted the steps my wife took. To start, grind the beans, heat the water and add, let it steep for about 3-4 minutes, push the press down and then enjoy French-Pressed coffee. Fairly simple but it makes a delicious cup of coffee.

I love it, it looks beautiful on the counter and brews coffee wonderfully. It’s also a great plus when you know it’s made in UK and not in China. Which you know your getting quality unlike cheap products made in China.

I am thrilled with this French Press coffee maker. I have used a thermal style french press for years; i wanted something as well-made with good heat-retention but more attractive for my dining table. This Denby fits the bill perfectly. It is handsome and keeps the coffee warm. I am thrilled with this purchase.

I never used one of these before but was told they make a great cup of coffee. It’s very elegant looking, strong, and pretty heavy for its size. A thick ceramic pot which is easy to use. You need to grind the coffee medium course so it doesn’t go through the filter. I followed instructions on how to use this and it reminded me of “cowboy” coffee by mixing water and coffee together, then straining. You put the coffee in, add hot water, wait a couple minutes and then put the top on and depress the plunger and pour. Simple, quick, and coffee tastes great. There is a learning curve when you first use these as far as the grind. Too course and the coffee will not be strong enough and the plunger will depress really easy, too fine, and you will not be able to push the plunger and may even get grinds in the coffee. Having a press that is not clear glass is a bit hard for first time learners too. I loved it, and it was different, but cleaning it is not as convenient as a coffee maker with a filter and basket that contain the grinds. I did like that its portable and you can take it anywhere to make coffee.

This is a beautiful french press. It looks just like its pictured. It’s made exactly as all French Presses are made. Everything is a cream colored ceramic except for the press part, which is metal. The mesh filter filters the grounds nicely. We love everything about this press, and it’s easy to leave on the counter because it’s so beautiful. I would say the only con is that the price is pretty high. If you’re looking to only have your coffee pressed, you could pay less for the same function. However, if you’re looking for a statement piece on top of that, this would look beautiful.Overall, great piece.

Looks like it belongs on the counter! My old french press was a glass and metal affair. Over time, the paint on the metal began to peel off, and I began to worry that blue paint was in my coffee… or worse in me.I was very happy to find a french press that not only looked great, but functioned just the way a french press should. The handle is oversized, making a full pot of coffee easy to lift and pour. The spout is also generously sized, allow for quick pours with minimal dripping. The press action is slick and easy, and since the top is ceramic and not made of plastic, you won’t find it difficult to clean either. The rest of the body is also easy to clean; I find myself rinsing it out more often than a full clean because it doesn’t look dirty at all.The only downside to a ceramic press is that you can’t tell how much coffee is left over. I’ll pour a couple of cups, and then find there’s still a bit more-but not quite enough for a third cup. I think I’ll just get used to this in time. I’m very much used to being able to see what’s left. All in all, this french press is great. I leave it sitting on the counter because it just looks great!

This ceramic french press holds 2 pints of coffee. It’s a very nice color, shape, and design. It’s glazed for durability, it’s off white, and has a matching lid with the metal french press mechanism in it. It’s dishwasher safe, and was made in England by Denby. This french press will add a touch of class and sophistication to any coffee drinkers in your life.I ordered this online, and it arrived on time, was packaged well, and was not damaged in shipping. Since it was ceramic, I was a little concerned about the shipping, but they used lots of bubble wrap.
