“Wow, these are really nice” said my wife. She ordered these last week & they arrived just in time for the holidays. I envision her using them to set out smaller portions of snacks so our grandkids don’t go through them quite as fast. These bowls are a muted white & complement our rough sawn table quite nicely. I’d like to say I made the table, but I can’t.These bowls are dishwasher & microwave safe. The fact that they can be nested makes for easy storage.

This four-piece set offers exceptional quality and functionality with a design that fits as well with your everyday dishes as it does with your fancy stuff. I wasn’t sure at first whether I would appreciate four different sizes in a set. They nest together, which saves storage space, and that was the deciding factor for me to take a chance. So glad I did. The bowls really function for every meal of the day and snacks in between. I’ve attached pictures of only a few of the ways we’ve already used the bowls. The largest one, we settled a panettone cake into. The idea is to wait until right before serving, and drench the cake in bourbon and top with caramel sauce. The shallow sides of the bowl allow for perfect presentation while still keeping everything clean and accessible…to scoop up the last drop of goodness! ;)The smallest bowl we used just this morning to catch pan drippings from meat. This was set directly on the table for dipping our skillet-fried potato wedges. The dishes are stoneware, which is a more durable type of pottery than earthenware or even other dishes that are not fired the same way. The glaze is an ivory, almost slightly tan color that puts me in mind of “linen” rather than “canvas.” Definitely a color that will go with everything. I wasn’t sure how the color would do with presentation of the food. I thought perhaps it would be blah, but found that the opposite is true. I’ve added a couple of pics just to show how the colors of the food really become so much more appealing on these dishes than others.
